THE INTERVIEW

What happens prior to the actual interview?

Once you have decided to be interviewed, or to have a loved one/family member interviewed on video, I will send a suggested list of questions and topics so that the interviewee can think about what they would like to say, gather their thoughts and jot down some notes to jog their memory.  It is important to note that these questions are only a suggestion and all questions will be discussed and agreed beforehand; the interviewee must feel relaxed and not worry that any uncomfortable subjects will be raised if they don't want them to.

What happens during the interview?

At a mutually convenient time I will visit the interviewee, preferably in their own home where he or she will feel most comfortable.  I allow several hours for interviewing, giving the interviewee a chance to take a break wherever necessary, aiming to capture anything between forty-five minutes and one and a half hours of footage.

My goal is to make the interview as enjoyable and relaxed as possible and I will gently guide the interviewee through the process.

What happens after the interview?

The footage is then fully edited and old photographs with titles and music can be added; this will then be copied on to a DVD (3 copies) for you to keep.
